Our Vision: We believe in your child.  Every child deserves a chance to succeed and feel successful.  At Excel, we offer our students a chance to not only excel in academics and improve their behavior, but also to learn valuable workforce skills that will remain with them for a lifetime.

Excel-Orange uses as business simulation model to assist students (also called “associates”) while keeping parents/legal guardians (also called “Business Partners”) informed of progress within the program.  A token-economy system is utilized in which the associate writes “checks” for inappropriate behavior and can receive “bonus bucks” as a form of positive reinforcement.  Each associate is typically enrolled at Excel for approximately one calendar year (180 school days).

Following enrollment and orientation into the program, associates receive Professional Development Training to ensure all expectations are clearly understood and to assist staff in determining the needs of each associate.  Those associates who fulfill all requirements placed upon them have the opportunity to apply for transition to their zoned school.  This transition process takes place twice a year, towards the end of each semester.
